IN AND AROUND PEAK HILL, NEW SOUTH WALES

Peak Hill is centrally located between Parkes and Dubbo, along the Newell Highway, and only 25 kms from the dish. This town of about 800 is about 50 km north of Parkes and 70 km south of Dubbo. 

Peak Hill offers a number of attractions such as Open Cut Gold Mine, Flora and Fauna Reserve Nature Walk, Bogan Weir, Dubbo Zoo, and the infamous The Dish. 

Peak Hill is the ideal stopover for travelling between Melbourne and Brisbane. Discover fascinating mining history and spectacular views at the open cut gold mine from the lookout or walk the 1.3km walking trail. 

Peak Hill has a bush walk trail with 1.8kms of Australian natives.

Short drive to Goobang National Park with spectacular views from lookout.
